Monday Morning Design Wall 1/3/2011

Happy New Year to all!! I enjoyed a wonderful holiday with my family and was able to spend some days catching up on my hand quilting projects, cleaned my sewing area and organized my space so I can find everything I am looking for. I discovered my Block of the Month blocks from Cloth Carousel in Winters California from 2009 and put them on my wall so I can work on putting them together in a quilt. I was also able to start my sampler quilt from the 100 best blocks magazine. I love the blue/brown of the fabric.

  1. I like your bright colors in the BOM. Are you going to set them on point? They look good that way. Hum, now what color fabric as the setting blocks? Decisions, decisions! Glad it is you not me. takes me forever to make a decision. B.

  2. Hey! Sounds like you've been VERY busy. . . so what else is new? Love your BOM and your new 100 Best Blocks endeavor. I got the magazine too and wondered what I'd make out of it. Happy New Year!

  3. I'm looking forward to starting a quilt from that magazine...love your blocks. Did you buy the blue/brown fabric or are you using scraps/stash?

  5. The colors are great in both quilts. The blue and brown one looks so manly.

  6. Great blocks on your design wall. We have a challenge group working on QM's 100 blocks. Want to join? You can make your own blocks if you want so no additional pressure. We are making two blocks a week. I'll link your blog if you like.
