Monday Morning Design Wall 5/30/2011

Bless our veterans this Memorial Day and remember those who have served and gave their lives for the United States of America!! I have enjoyed a very busy weekend prior to heading out to the cemetery for Flags first thing this morning. I am working on my son's friend College Quilt and in case you cannot tell, he is heading off to California State University Chico this fall. I have sewn most of the letters on and am still working on filling in a couple of spots on the wall. I put the blue painters tape up so I would have a better visual of the size as I found it seemed to be growing when I first started. I will say that I am having a blast with the angles. I am working with Beyond The Block for ideas but working hard to keep this quilt just red and white!!

I also finished two of my blocks for my BOM with Cloth Carousel (I was a bit behind) so it feels good to catch up.

  1. What a cool quilt--Chico State!! Looks like a lot of work. I'm sure it will be much appreciated. I loved what you wrote about Veteran's Day. My husband is always quite sentimental on this day and he stops everyone he sees in uniform to thank them. Have a great week!
