Yes, I finished another Hawaiian block and this is number 9 out of 10, although I might do a few more. I had such a great weekend visiting Berkeley California to take my 19 year old son, the birthday boy on the left, out to brunch along with my wonderful husband and 17 year old son. We had a great brunch at Skates on the Bay and enjoyed the fantastic weather. Actually looking forward to work tomorrow as I had such a great weekend. Remember to check out the other design walls on Judy's blog!!
That is a beautiful block!
ReplyDeleteJennifer, your Hawaiian blocks look terrific! What applique method are you using for these? Glad you had such a great weekend - nice pic of you all!!! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Denise, this is needle turn for the Hawaiian blocks (you baste the block down using a generous 1/4 inch seam and then needle turn the edge under a scant 1/8 to 1/4 inch). The Balitmore Album blocks are freezer paper and starch method!
DeleteOhhh, what a pretty, red block! And I love the family pic! Don't think I've met all your kids so it's nice to see what they look like. Handsome indeed!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful block, I so admire applique but am lousy at it.
ReplyDeleteThat is just beautiful! How did you ever needle-turn those tiny bits on the flowers?? Fantastic. :o)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful Hawaiian block. I like how the parts of the flower were captured. Happy birthday #1 DS! Sandi
