Monday Morning Design Wall 1/24/2011

A very productive weekend working on my 100 Quilt block sampler. These blocks are turning out very well and I think this will turn out to be a nice quilt. I am having a blast making the different blocks and just chosing the fabric for each one. I am still working on handquilting my Green Mystery Quilt, which is coming along beautifully!! I am going to enjoy only working half a day tomorrow since the kids do not have school and work on a few more blocks for my quilt.

Monday Morning Design Wall 1/17/2011

What a great weekend!! Nothing like knowing Monday is a holiday and I don't have to go to work to make my weekend twice as productive. I took my BOM from 2009 and framed out a bunch of the blocks, planning on sewing it together by the end of this week. I plan on working on the Quiltmakers 100 block sampler quilt on Monday, since I have the day off!! I may rearrange the blocks a bit more but the format works and it is visually interesting.

I am planning on making my son, who just received his Eagle Rank with Boy Scouts a quilt, hoping to replicate the Eagle Badge!! Any suggestions would be welcome!!

Monday Morning Design Wall 1/10/2011

One lonely block this week, not very productive in my progress toward my sampler quilt for the Quiltmakers 100 Blocks, but one is better then none!! I did get some hand quilting done on my Green Mystery quilt so that is progress. I am working on redecorating two of my boys room and cleaning out their room, finding and replacing the broken furniture with nice but reasonably priced pieces takes a lot of time. Still looking for reasonably priced side tables but I will continue the search next week. I am hoping to making more progress by next week!!

Monday Morning Design Wall 1/3/2011

Happy New Year to all!! I enjoyed a wonderful holiday with my family and was able to spend some days catching up on my hand quilting projects, cleaned my sewing area and organized my space so I can find everything I am looking for. I discovered my Block of the Month blocks from Cloth Carousel in Winters California from 2009 and put them on my wall so I can work on putting them together in a quilt. I was also able to start my sampler quilt from the 100 best blocks magazine. I love the blue/brown of the fabric.

Monday Morning Design Wall 11/29/2010

Wonderful to have all that time over Thanksgiving, less work and more housework getting done. I was able to finally finish my boarder for the compus quilt and I think it turned out rather well. I finished up a couple of other quilts and made all my blocks for my Triangle Bali Pops quilt. Now to clean up my sewing area, put away projects and fabric I will not be needing so I can settle down into some serious work!!

Monday Morning Design Wall 11/22/2010

It was a busy week but a productive weekend. Did try to go to my favorite shops on Saturday but after gathering all I wanted to purchase up the electrical power shut off during a winter storm. We need the rain but having electricity is also nice!! I am trying to finish up a few projects and clear up some space to start a new design with limited success. I just need to find time to sit and quilt a few of my outstanding quilting projects!!

Monday Morning Design Wall 11/8/2010

Another busy week and a couple of events at work but I still managed to get the border on the Diamond Sampler Quilt and I did get the fabric dyed for the Compass Mariners Quilt border. I am hoping to get the borders on and finished this week but with the holiday, who knows. The family will be visiting our daughter at Cal Poly for the UCD vs. Cal Poly (The Battle for the Horseshoe) on 11/13/2010 but I plan on taking my camera so I can get some great shots of the Cheer Squad and the beautiful views.
